Truth Press is an independent, non-commercial news platform dedicated to investigative journalism without compromise. We provide fact-based reporting on human rights, civil liberties, and institutional accountability — free from corporate influence, political pressure, or advertiser interests.

Editorial Independence

All editorial decisions at Truth Press are made solely by our editorial team. We do not accept payment for coverage, nor do we allow advertisers, sponsors, or external parties to influence our reporting. Our journalists maintain full independence in selecting stories, conducting investigations, and drawing conclusions.

Funding and Access

Truth Press is entirely volunteer-run and funded by its contributors. We carry no advertising of any kind — no display ads, no sponsored content, no affiliate programs. All content is freely accessible to every reader at no cost. We operate a single, free membership tier; there are no paid subscriptions or paywalled articles. This structure ensures our journalism answers only to our readers and our conscience.

Standards of Reporting

Accuracy and Verification

  • Every factual claim must be supported by verifiable evidence
  • We distinguish clearly between established facts, expert analysis, and editorial opinion
  • Direct quotes are verified with sources before publication
  • Statistical data must come from credible, identifiable sources
  • When information cannot be independently verified, we disclose this to readers

Source Requirements

  • We prioritize primary sources: official documents, court records, legislative texts, and direct interviews
  • Secondary sources are attributed and cross-referenced where possible
  • Anonymous sources are used only when necessary to protect individuals from credible harm; their reliability is assessed by senior editors
  • We link directly to source documents whenever permissible

Conflicts of Interest

Contributors and editors are required to disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationship with the subjects they cover. Where a conflict is identified, the story is reassigned or declined. No contributor may accept gifts, payments, or preferential treatment from sources or subjects of coverage.

  • Subjects of critical reporting are given the opportunity to respond before publication
  • We present multiple perspectives on complex issues
  • We clearly label content types: News, Analysis, Investigation, Opinion, and Fact-Check

Fact-Checking Process

  1. Author verification: The contributor verifies all claims and sources before submission
  2. Editorial review: A senior editor reviews the article for accuracy, fairness, and completeness
  3. Source check: Key claims are independently verified against primary sources
  4. Legal review: Articles involving legal matters or potential defamation are reviewed before publication

Separation of News and Opinion

  • News articles report facts without editorial judgment
  • Analysis articles provide context and interpretation, clearly labeled as such
  • Opinion pieces represent the views of the author, not Truth Press
  • Fact-checks evaluate specific claims against verifiable evidence

AI Content Disclosure

Truth Press may use AI tools to assist with research, translation, or drafting. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, verified, and edited by human journalists before publication. AI is never the sole author of any published article. We disclose the use of AI tools when they have materially contributed to the reporting process.
